We are a Class Who Love New Vocabulary!

Good evening class!

Today we began the lesson by thinking about our ideal friend. We talked about what was really important to us in a friendship and what was not so important. Here is some of the vocabulary which we covered.

We moved on to learn some more vocabulary which we can use to describe character or personality. Here are some pictures of the vocab we studied... remember, these words will be on the test on Friday, so study them!

Next we looked at some grammar - relative pronouns.
We learnt about WHO and WHICH.
Remember: We use who for people and which for things.

We talked about how to know whether a relative pronoun is
subject or object.
If the pronoun is an object pronoun then you can omit it (don't have to use it)

For example:

Hannah is a woman who teaches English

1. Hannah is a woman
2. She teaches English

Who = She (The subject of the sentence)

So you must use who.

Hannah is a woman who I teach English

1. Hannah is a woman
2. I teach her

Who = Her (The object of the sentence)

So you don't have to use who

Here is a picture from the board...

And you made some sentences using WHO and WHICH

I have given you a worksheet for homework which is due tomorrow.

Have a nice evening guys!
